"Toucheurism" Natural Recordings by Native Speakers
Tochismus (also known as fantasmagoric or palpation, though the latter can also refer to another medical touch disorder) refers to the compulsive and habitual touching oneself in public or in inappropriate situations, or a paraphilia in which the person derives sexual pleasure from having their body touched.
It may be a form of paraphilia or a fetish and could be used as a psychiatric syndrome. This was first recorded in 1870.
A diagnosis of toucheurism was formerly listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-I) and DSM-II before being removed in the DSM-III.
