The spahi (Turkish: sipahi, Persian: سباشی) was a cavalryman in the Ottoman Empire, especially during the Ottoman period of the 13th to 20th centuries. They were originally mounted archers from Central Asia who were part of the Ottoman military and noble class.
In later periods, the term also referred to the members of the local gendarmerie of the Ottoman territories in the Balkans.
Spaghettini is a type of thin, delicate Italian pasta, similar to spaghetti but thinner in diameter. It is typically made from durum wheat semolina and is characterized by its long, fine strands. Spaghettini is often served with light, oil-based sauces to preserve its thin texture and avoid overpowering its delicate flavor. In Italian, the suffix "-ini" is used to indicate a small or diminutive form, so spaghettini can be literally translated to "little spaghettis".
