"Orectolobidae" Natural Recordings by Native Speakers
Orectolobidae is a family of carpet sharks, also known as wobbegongs. It is a group of sharks that are found in the tropical and subtropical waters of the Pacific and Indian Oceans. They are characterized by their flat, broad heads, and are often referred to as "cow sharks" due to the folds of skin on their heads that resemble the folds of a cow's hide. Orectolobidae are generally bottom-dwelling sharks, and feed on fish, crustaceans, and octopuses.
