Non-renewable refers to a natural resource that cannot be replenished or replaced once it has been used up. This means that it will eventually run out and there will be nothing left to use. Examples of non-renewable resources include fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas. These resources have taken millions of years to form and it would take millions of years for them to form again, so they are not considered renewable.
