"Expansionism" Natural Recordings by Native Speakers
Expansionism refers to the policy or practice of extending a nation's territory, influence, or interests through colonization, war, or other means. It often involves the conquest and incorporation of neighboring territories, the imposition of one's own culture, language, and political system upon the conquered area, and the exploitation of the natural resources of the newly acquired territories.
Expanders are devices or tools that increase the size or volume of something, often in a physical sense. They can also refer to words or phrases that enlarges or adds to the meaning of another word or phrase. For example, a metal expander might increase the diameter of a pipe, while a linguistic expander might clarify the meaning of a ambiguous term.
