"Cerinthianism" Natural Recordings by Native Speakers
Cerinthianism is a Christian heresy that emerged in the 2nd century AD, named after its founder Cerinthus. It was a Gnostic sect that believed in a dualistic concept of the universe, where the material world was evil and the spiritual world was good. Cerinthianism taught that the historical Jesus Christ was not the Son of God, but instead a mere man inhabited by the divine spirit at his baptism and up until his crucifixion, after which the spirit left his body.
