Ceboidea is a superfamily of apes and monkeys that includes the capuchin, howler, and tamarin monkeys, as well as the marmosets and owl monkeys. It is a grouping of primates that evolved in the tropical forests of Central and South America. The name "Ceboidea" comes from the scientific name for the capuchin monkey, Cebus.
