"Coloscopy" Natural Recordings by Native Speakers
A colonoscopy is a medical procedure in which a flexible tube called a colonoscope is inserted into the rectum and slowly guided through the entire colon (large intestine). The colonoscope is equipped with a tiny camera and light, allowing the doctor to visualise the inside of the colon on a video monitor. During the procedure, the doctor can identify and remove any abnormal growths, take biopsies, and diagnose conditions such as colon polyps, ulcers, and cancers.
